The Real Grinch
Well I’m 59 years old and I’ve never seen the Grinch we sing about – but there is a Grinch that we sure have to deal with these days. His initials are PC and his name is political correctness – and this Grinch tries to steal Christmas as well. He’s described in this poem……
- Was the days before Christmas when all through the land Not a Christian was praying, or taking a stand See the PC police had taken away, the reason for Christmas, no one can say
The children were told by their schools not to sing about shepherds, and angels, and wise men and things It might hurt their feelings the teachers would say Dec. 25th is just another holiday Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa in hopes to sell books by Al Franken and Jane Fonda As Target was hanging their trees upside down At Lowes the word Christmas is not to be found at K Mart and Staples and Penny’s and Sears You won’t hear the word Christmas it won’t touch your ears Inclusive, Sensitive, Diversity – are the words they use to intimidate me Now ACLU, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen On Kennedy, On Rather, it’s a national trend to the top of the Senate there arose such a clatter to eliminate Jesus from all public matters And we spoke not a word, as they slapped at our faith forbidden to speak of salvation and trace The true gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded the reason for the season, stopped before it started So as you celebrate winter break under your dream tree sipping your starbucks now listen to me Choose your words carefully, choose what you say shout Merry CHRISTmas, not happy holiday!
Don’t let the PC Grinch steal your Christmas friends – Merry CHRISTmas to all!
