You Can Plug In!

Hillcrest Youth Mission and Purpose

Mission:  Reflect Jesus  Purpose:  Come & See, Stay & Grow, Go & Tell

Darrick Willoughby, Youth Minister  -  Ages Jr High through High School

In our youth program here at Hillcrest, we desire to grow young people in their walk with Jesus Christ. We hope every youth that is involved with us experiences the truths that God loves them, that living for God is a blast and that we love them also! The following describes the many areas young people can plug into here at Hillcrest.

Student Connection Studies, Sunday mornings, 9:30 a.m.

This awesome time of learning study and fun is available for youth.

Sunday Evening Bible Study, 6:00 p.m.

Teens (Middle School - High School) meet each Sunday evening (during the school year).

An opportunity for all Middle School/High School Teens to experience God in some unforgettable ways awaits those who join us for these sessions each Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:10 p.m. Highlights of WNA include Worship led by our WNA Praise Band, Insightful Bible Studies led by our Youth Sponsors and tons of fun fellowship. Special nights such as Off campus Service Nights, Full Worship Nights and the annual “Which Class Rules” competition help make Wednesday Night Alive the Mid-week place to be.

These get-aways prove to be a great chance to re-focus on God and an opportunity to fellowship with other youth groups.

These events are often a spiritual mountaintop as teens are challenged to live for God in midst of a great weekend (ie. Christ In Youth Conventions).

Christian Camps

Lives are stretched, molded and blessed each year at Wonder Valley Christian Camp. Attending a week of camp is one of the best spiritual investments any young person can make.

Outings and Events

We provide monthly outings for our different age groups, ranging from theme parties and game nights for our younger kids; to overnighters and crazy event nights for our teens. Be watching the bulletin and the newsletters for weekly activities!   For outings that take us away from the church, you must have a liability release form signed by your parent or gaurdian.  Click the link below for a copy of this form. liablityreleaseform

Servant Leadership Groups (Sophmores-Seniors)

This service is provided for our upper classmen who want to humbly help lead our youth group.

High School Mission Trip

June 2007, High School youth and sponsors traveled to New Orleans to work with homeowners in Katrina affected areas.  A mission trip is usually planned about every 2 years.

Compassion Sponsor Child

Donations provide food, schooling, medical needs and most importantly help connect a child to God.
