Worship on the Hill

Our worship of God will not be hidden. - Matthew 5:14-16

At Hillcrest, we exist to glorify God, build up the church, and transform the worshiper.  We wish to achieve this just cause by worshiping our Lord in "spirit and in truth"; in a real and authentic way. - John 4:23.Through using our God-given gifts, HCC worship ministries fosters an environment that serves Jesus Christ by equipping musicians, vocalists, technicians, actors and artists through modeling the teachings of Jesus Christ in worship arts. - Ephesians 4:12.

What to expect...

Guests -- when attending a worship time you can expect that some people will be dressed in "their Sunday best" while others will be wearing more casual clothes. During the Sunday morning Bible educational time (9:30 am-10:15 am), the children, and youth are directed to age-specific classes and there are many classes for adults. Worship starts at 8:15 am for "Heritage" ending around 9:15 am and 9:30 and 11am is the start time for "Worship on the Hill". Please ask any of the greeters if you need to know where the nursery is located. Thank you for planning to come to Hillcrest!

We invite you to visit the “Gathering Place” and enjoy a cup of coffee after 8:15am service or join us in the Family Life Center at 10:30-11am at Connection Point, for coffee, refreshments and fellowship.

We have many opportunities each week to serve Christ in worship:

Our Sunday Experience...

8:15 am - "Heritage" - A more traditional approach to connecting with the Lord. Hymns are sung from hymnals with accompaniment from piano and/or organ, the Lord's Supper is taken, an offering of special music is presented by our Worship Choir, and a spoken message is given.

9:30 & 11am - "Worship On the Hill" - Some traditional songs with some contemporary/modern praise choruses are implemented using a praise band consisting of an electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, piano, and drums during this service.  The Lord's Supper is taken and a spoken message is given possibly using powerpoint or video to emphasize and enhance the word.  An invitation is offered following the messages.  Children's church is available for different age groups.  A Nursery is also provided.
